One of our client is having a custom home built. That process can be very time consuming and demanding if you are looking to make the home a true reflection of you and design each element. She could’ve stuck with the standard selections and decided on similar layouts to everyone else, but that isn’t her style.

She reached out to us because this is what we do day-in and day-out! One of her main concerns and an extremely cause of stress was regarding the size of furniture needed for the new space. She wanted to optimize seating for entertaining, create a quiet place to start her day, and provide a cozy place for her family to gather together in the evenings — all without being able to see the space. Eek!

However, it was a quick, easy decision for her to reach out to a trained design professional. We offered her an affordable solution that was swiftly delivered right her to email — a full design plan was provided without ever leaving her chair. Yes, seriously, the design process doesn’t have to be expensive, time consuming or mentally draining. Now, she can search for her own pieces with ease and can determine small tweaks in the design with peace of mind. She knows her style, she just need a little help with her design:

  • Kitchen table size
  • Dining room table size day to day + the extension for holidays
  • Parts and pieces of a sectional (maximum size)
  • Storage for all rooms
  • Accent pieces size and placement (cabinets, lamps, mirrors, plants)
  • Area rug size and orientation
  • Desk functionality and accessibility
  • Pull out sofa capability
  • Determining if chairs need to swivel or can be stationary
  • TV location (knowing where to install power sources is key saving money on wire management)

If you aren’t accustom to reviewing plans, working with a scale or visualizing a space then this process can easily take over your thoughts. We are so happy that she reached out to us so we could ease the burden of building a new home.

Also, working directly with an independent designer provides flexibility of ordering from multiple manufacturers, and not having to commit to one style. Making the best use of your space based on your wants and needs, not just what will look good is key in creating a livable space.

The best part is, this process was done completely online! Our work has always been able to be virtual so we have many strategies and procedures in place to make this portion of the design process seamless and effective. Let us know how we can help you. http://www.prbdesigns.com/about-us.html
